Things are progressing nicely down at the store. The wall is up that will separate the store from the pottery school. This is the view from the front door:
The door between the two areas will have a window in it so that customers in the gallery can see the pottery school in the back. The area to the right of the door will be the sales counter.
We went back and forth on whether or not to paint the brick around the front door and window. At first I wanted to keep it, but we’ve finally decided to paint it. While the brick is a nice look, it can also limit our color choices inside and I think painting the brick to match the walls will be a cleaner look. No backing out now – Jordan is down at the store as I write this putting primer over the brick.
In the picture below, Mark is standing in the pottery school area. The door in the back leads to the room where the kilns will be installed. From that room, there’s a backdoor and a small parking area behind the building. The bathroom is to the left of the door.
