Student pottery

Another load of interesting pottery created by people who take classes at Throwing Mud Gallery

These pieces were made on the pottery wheel.  I like how the person added some interest to the blue and gray bowls by adding one stamp inside the bowls

The dishes below were all handbuilt, using slabs and texture

And this very special vase is created from coils of clay.  Jan spent many weeks working on it, building it up, smoothing it out, and adding texture to the outside.  It has been holding a very special place in our studio and we were all excited to see what it would like after it was glazed.

Beautiful!

Jan also does metal work and is going to put copper rings around the pot over the spots that she left bare from glaze.  I can’t wait to see it when it’s completely finished!
