Try It is a one-time 1-1/2 hour session and is exactly what it says. You get a quick introduction to wheel throwing …then you try it. You will get the experience of using a pottery wheel and we will help you form a bowl.
Choose a glaze and it will be trimmed, glazed and fired for you to pick up in a few of weeks.
Our classes are open to age 18 and up.
$95 per person (limit of 2 people)
Effective October 1, 2025 we are required to collect sales tax on our Try It classes.
If you are considering signing up for a 6-week class, a Try It class will give you a bit of a head start. You can take a class solo, or it’s a fun activity to do with a friend. If you take a Try It Class and then register for a 6-week pottery class within 3 months, you will receive a free 25# bag of clay!
Please note
While possible, long nails make pottery significantly harder, especially for beginners. Please wear appropriate clothing (we provide aprons), tie back long hair and remove rings, bracelets and watches.
You are paying for the pottery wheel experience. In most cases you will have a successful bowl, but that is not guaranteed.
Schedule Your Class
Want to buy a gift card for a Try it Class as a gift? you may purchase an e-gift card through our website. If you have a gift card that you want to use to pay for the class, please call us at 253-254-7961 to schedule the date. (Our calendar system doesn’t accept our gift cards as payment online.)
Reschedule/Cancellation
Up to 24 hours prior to your class, you are able to reschedule your class through our calendar system, or by calling our studio. There is a $50 fee for cancelling less than 24 hours before scheduled class. “No shows” are non-refundable. (A 4% credit card processing fee is charged for all cancelled credit card charges.)
