Studio and Retail Assistant – Part-time position
We are looking for someone to assist us in the pottery studios and gallery approximately 12 hours per week. Our ideal applicant has pottery experience. Your primary focus will be to provide friendly customer service to our customers and keep the studios and gallery clean and tidy.
Specific duties include assisting shoppers and using the point-of-sale system, supporting customers in their artistic pursuits, loading and unloading kilns, recycling clay, opening and closing the shop.
Common Sense, attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and work independently is essential. Excellent customer service skills are crucial, as well as a having a friendly, positive and upbeat attitude.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be available to work weekends and some evenings.
- Must be prompt and have reliable transportation
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift and carry 25 pounds
- Able to climb a step stool and lift boxes
