Saturday evening, we stayed late at the studio and with the help of other potters, made bowls to be donated to Empty Bowls. We had beer, wine and delicious food to keep up their strength as some of the potters made bowls for 5 straight hours.
Only Potters can throw the bowls
That sell at Empty Bowls
That raise the money
That goes to the Emergency Food Network
That buys the food
That feeds our neighbors.
It was a fun time and we ended the evening with over 50 bowls ready to be trimmed and glazed.
Thank you so much to those who donated clay, including Clay Art Center in Tacoma. And special thanks to Kris, Masako, Brenda, Ana and Mark for all of your hard work.
